USE CASES

500,000 falls are reported each year among the elderly population, resulting in significant medical and financial consequences. It is therefore necessary for the personnel of nursing facilities (EHPAD in France), which house 700,000 residents, to prevent falls by implementing a more specific and more effective monitoring system or to intervene quickly so as to limit the consequences.

ADVANTAGES

The system developed by MORPHEE+ is a smart alert system that detects falls using a micro-radar installed in the resident’s room.

This means the resident does not have to wear the device on their person and won’t risk forgetting it. Their privacy is protected since there is no camera system and the alert system allows for personnel to intervene as quickly as possible.

Physical parameters are recorded, such as heart rate and activity, allowing staff to monitor the resident’s well-being and providing a healthcare and diagnostic aid.

Preventive alert models could be created by cross-referencing recorded data with information that has been manually recorded.

APPLICATIONS

MORPHEE+ intended for use in nursing homes and other structures that care for isolated, at-risk people, as part of home hospitalization or care.
