DX400
New-generation cargo drone
USE CASES
The world of freight transport is today faced with major environmental and economic problems (costs/delivery times) that it cannot solve with current thermal means (trucks, ships, helicopters, planes).
The start-up, Windlair, is revolutionizing the logistics market with a longer, more durable and more efficient high-extension drone solution, which enables the rapid delivery of large loads to isolated and difficult-to-access sites, in both the civilian and military sectors.
The cargo drone has a wide range of applications, thanks to its high payload capacity. In particular, it can carry out large-scale observation and surveillance missions.
ADVANTAGES
The solution developed by Windlair includes a series of innovations and patents, such as an eVTOL hybrid electric propulsion architecture combining unique multi-rotor technology with a folding fixed wing that has high-performance aerodynamic characteristics.
This design gives the cargo drown a wide action radius (400 km) and high working load (150 kg) for its category, therefore providing a significant advantage over the competition, whether technically (flight autonomy, speed, flight stability and limit) or environmentally (low carbon emissions, reduced sound pollution).
APPLICATIONS
The DX400 has many applications including, for example:
– commercial logistics missions to deliver equipment to territories that are difficult to access (rural and mountainous areas, archipelagos, desert zones);
– support missions for the maintenance of remote energy sites (land or floating wind farms, oil sites in desert areas, oil rigs);
– rapid intervention missions to transport first-aid equipment, medicine and supplies during natural disasters;
– humanitarian transport missions;
– inland mapping missions using 3D lidar and heavy digital cameras;
– real-time surveillance and observation of critical production sites (pipelines, gas pipelines, mines, platforms, solar power stations);
– logistical and medical support for the armed forces.
