In short
Created in 2014 and stemming from the “Investissements d’Avenir” (“Investing in the Future”) Program, SATT Paris-Saclay is the Technology Transfer Accelerator Office of the Paris-Saclay Cluster.
As the joint stakeholder in both organizations – Université Paris-Saclay and Institut Polytechnique de Paris – SATT has an investment capacity of € 79 million over 11 years to fund and support the development of research work carried out in the territory and ensure the transfer of technology to the market.

Providing advice and services to innovators
SATT Paris-Saclay offers a range of services specifically designed to meet the needs of researchers and institutions in the Paris-Saclay Cluster. Developed in synergy with the TTO of the research institutions, the services offered by SATT provide human, technical and financial resources for the transfer of their research activities. Using a wide range of IT tools, SATT addresses the many scientific fields and industrial application sectors represented on the territory.
MATURATION
Turning technologies into products
Through its investment fund, SATT Paris-Saclay finances the transformation of high-potential technologies into innovative products. It covers the costs related to the technical and scientific development of the projects as well as those related to intellectual property and the recruitment of dedicated staff. SATT thus paves the way for the creation of deep-tech startups and industrial transfer.

With the many industrial specialties and tools at its disposal, 85% of SATT’s staff comes from the industry, thus bringing a market perspective to researchers and institutions. The male/female ratio provides a work balance and the average age of the team (36 years old) is certainly a factor of dynamism!

At the heart of SATT Paris-Saclay’s activity, the 20 research institutions of Paris-Saclay designed the structure as a “trusted third party” in order to create value based on their know-how and skills for industrialists.
Anchored in a territory of excellence, SATT regularly interacts with its partners in charge of the innovation, incubation and technological acceleration of the Paris-Saclay Cluster in order to offer a continuum of tools dedicated to research units and businesses.
THE SATT NETWORK
A collective endeavor to boost industrial innovation
SATT Paris-Saclay is a member of the SATT Network: the association which federates all the Sociétés d’Accélération du Transfert Technologique (Technology Transfer Acceleration Offices). The Network’s purpose is to simplify and professionalize the transfer of innovations resulting from French academic research to businesses. Created in 2014, the association aims to carry out shared actions in order to increase the efficiency, readability and visibility of the SATTs.
